Claude Code Mentor — 1-on-1 Mentorship That Actually Solves Your Problem

Claude Code is the most powerful AI coding tool available right now. It’s also the easiest one to break — you’ve probably already had it rewrite working code, burn tokens on a bad path, or confidently “fix” a bug that wasn’t there.

Learn to wield it without breaking your project — not by watching a 10-hour course, but by working 1-on-1 with a daily Claude Code user who ships agent systems in production.

Who Claude Code mentorship is for

The intermediate Claude Code user

You’ve installed it. You’ve used it. You’ve also had it make things worse a dozen times. You want to learn the patterns — skills, subagents, CLAUDE.md configs, slash commands, how to keep it on-task.

The beginner who wants to start right

You’ve heard Claude Code is the one to learn. You want to start with good habits rather than discovering them through a month of frustration.

The agent-builder

You’re architecting something multi-agent and want to talk through patterns with someone who’s deployed them. Claude Code’s subagent system is powerful if you understand it — and a token-burning disaster if you don’t.

What you get in a mentorship session

  • Screen-share debugging — bring your real code, we work on it together
  • Your own CLAUDE.md — tailored to your project, not a generic template
  • Skills / subagents / slash commands — how to use them, when NOT to use them
  • Prompting patterns that keep Claude focused instead of creative
  • Agent architecture guidance — if you’re building something multi-agent
  • Written action list at the end of each session so the lesson sticks

Sessions are 60 minutes, delivered over Zoom, Google Meet, or Discord.

Why mentorship beats a Claude Code course

A course teaches the average path. Your problem isn’t average. The tutorial about writing a to-do app with Claude Code doesn’t help when Claude decides to rewrite your auth layer three weeks into your actual project.

Mentorship works because it’s your codebase, your problem, your constraints — and the answers you get are specific to what you’re actually building. You also get to interrupt and ask “wait, why did you do that?” every time something isn’t clear. No 10-hour video can do that.

FAQ

How is a Claude Code mentor different from a Claude Code coach?

In practice, not much — I use both words interchangeably and you’ll see both on this site. If you want to draw a line: “coach” implies I’m helping you win a specific match (unstick your project), “mentor” implies ongoing guidance as you grow. I do both; the format is the same 60-minute 1-on-1 session.

What’s the minimum setup I need before booking?

You need Claude Code installed (free to install, usage is pay-per-token) and a rough idea of what you want to work on. If you haven’t installed it yet, your first session can literally be the install + first-run. Bring your laptop and a clear 60 minutes.

Is this beginner-friendly?

Yes. About a third of my students are beginners who’ve never opened a terminal. Claude Code is actually a good first AI coding tool with a mentor because the basics are simple once someone walks you through them once.
